Your first step, an initial consultation with a United Moving Consultant, will provide you with a professional estimate and answers to any questions you may have regarding your move. United's state of the art, palm based electronic estimating systems provide you with a detailed, accurate estimate of the contents to be moved and special moving services.

Rates

Transportation rates and delivery schedules for long distance moves (over 150 miles) are determined based on the weight of your shipment and the distance from origin to destination. Local moves (under 150 miles) are normally charged on an hourly rate, flat rate, or by weight. United provides a wide range of service options.

Packing & Crating

Qualified, trained packers handle your contents with care and expertise, the best safeguard against breakage. Crews can provide a full pack and unpack service. Specialized crating is required for the safe protection of large, fragile breakables such as stained glass windows, marble tabletops, and chandeliers. These items need the special care and attention that can only be provided by custom crating. Wooden crates are constructed by our crews to the exact specifications required to protect your delicate valuables.

Appliance Servicing

Appliance servicing can be arranged to protect your appliances while in transit. We recommend having your washing machine, dryer, refrigerator and stove serviced by a licensed professional before they are moved.

Storage

All United Member Moving companies are equipped with completely secure, clean, climate controlled warehouses.

Cars

United can ship your automobile on the moving van with your household goods or can make arrangements to ship your automobile with a third party car carrier.
